The Speed Lock+ adjustment mechanism is both ultralight and unobtrusive, and is easy to operate with gloves or lines on. These poles also come equipped with special Binding Baskets, which offer the standard pow-friendly performance of a normal ski basket, with straight edges on the side to help you more easily adjust heel risers and manage bindings and skins. You'll catch an easier grip on your risers when adjusting for steep skin-track slopes, and be able to shed snow and ice from your skins when using the longer side. Tack on an extended grip to help you choke up on steep summit bootpacks and a carbide metal tip that can really dig into snow and ice, and you've got all the performance you need for a day in the backcountry.
