The Leki Haute Route is a dependable, adjustable pole designed for ski touring and mountaineering. All-aluminum construction keeps it light and tough, and it extends from 90 to 150cm (36-60in), locking in place with Leki’s quick and foolproof SLS twist-lock system. A carbide tip maintains purchase on frozen rock and ice, and the offset grip design keeps the shaft oriented forward for effortless pole plants.
Bottom Line: Once you adjust, you’ll never tour without them.

This pole is fantastic for deep pow-pow in the back-country. Though i would recommend the Black Diamond line over these poles to someone who intends to use them as an all around adjustable ski pole for groomers, powder, ski- mountaineering, etc. The Torque lock system can't take the abuse and not much downward pressure. I went to jab them into some pack on a groomed slope this week to stand them up while i adjusted my boots and it gave...sliding into the main shaft. Good thing i don't ski groomers often! But as far as a free style and powder pole....These baby's get My top Marks! A+++
