Lange made the Men’s Super Comp ski boot with a low volume 97mm last and a super stiff 140 flex for the most aggressive, hard charging skiers. This boot’s asymmetrical volume and Shark Nose profile follow the foot’s natural shape for a precision fit. The low volume, stiff-flexing shell ensures lightning quick response and extremely efficient power transmission from foot to boot to ski. Lange gave this boot’s buckle catches two positions so the shell can wrap tightly around a variety of foot and lower leg shapes and sizes.

Bottom Line: The Lang Men’s Super Comp loves speed and doesn’t hesitate to put the pedal to the metal.

Easily the nicest pair of boots I've had... Extremely responsive, solid around the heel and ankle, little more room for the toesies, and a sick shark nose. Charge or get charged!

The last is how wide the boot measures at the forefoot. Measured on a 26 shell and in mm. Most narrow low volume boots will be a 97 or 98 mm. For a little more room they make boots with 100 and 102 mm lasts. for that extra wide foot they make lasts of 104.

The 'last' is the physical model that they actually build the boot or shoe around. it looks like a plastic (or wood) model of a foot.

It means something if you have a boot you like and the new one is built around a similar last. Each company uses their own set of lasts, and usually has several styles (for example, low volume, high volume, wide, narrow, aggresive, etc.)
