    Brawn and brain required.

When you find yourself needing a hard-charging, race-inspired ski boot to really lay down some carves, dust off the Lange Men's RS 130 Boot and slide your foot into the out-of-the-box comfortable Control-fit liners. The 130 flex is plenty burly enough for the hardest of chargers out there, so you'll definitely want to pair it with big, stiff skis and an equally aggressive attitude. (Towards your skiing that is. Nobody likes a jerk in the lift line.) The four luminum buckles give you lots of adjustability, especially when paired with the options for forward lean angle and the adjustable canting. In case a 130 flex just isn't enough for you, crank down on the 40mm Camlock powerstrap and crush the hill to your heart's content.

Very precise boots. A few nits

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Finally broke down and upgraded from my 10-year-old Dalbello. I also got the Zipfit World Cup, which I highly recommend if you want that absolute painted on feel and having exact control over your skis. I am 5'7", 120 lbs, but since I have crazy ankle flexion, I can still drive these insanely stiff 130 boots really well. I also find my ability to get to neutral stance very easy with these boots. Since I upgraded the liner with Zipfit (yes, getting in and out is a process especially when the shells are cold, but once you are in, you will wonder why you haven't done it sooner), this review is with that in consideration. I haven't tried the brand new stock liners.

    A few nits:

    1. I get cold much easier and faster in these Blue dogs

    2. Powerstrap tends to shift up, thereby loosening. I think the backing material is not grippy enough to stay put against the boot's plastic. Please note that it starts half on and half off top of the boot shell.

    3. It's impossible to walk around hard snow in these boots, there is no rubber pads on the sole of the boots, so you will definitely look like an ice skating beginner. I recommend getting a pair of Cat Tracks.

    4. The Lange logo on the side of the boots is cheaply painted on, most of it already rubbed off with only a handful of ski days in them.

Overall, I am very satisfied with these boots. They do demand attention, but what you get in exchange is making some sweet turns while feeling in total control. If they fix those items above...perfection achieved. Come on Lange!

Why don't you offer this boot in Woman's? I have last years 120 flex and they are awesome. You only offer the race series for the men......

Do these boots have flex screws in the back? If so what degrees would each screw drop? Thanks.
