Inferno Ski Boot - Men's

Months of genetic research at the Lange laboratory have rewarded us with the Inferno, a very slightly tranquilized sibling of the belligerent Banshee Pro freeride boot. To create it, Lange started with the same World-Cup-bred 98-millimeter lower found in the Banshee, re-cast the upper cuff in a marginally more forgiving material, and installed a gel insert in the tongue liner—all with the aim of putting grins back on the grimacing faces of freestyle competitors and lighter expert skiers. We’re not saying this is a plush, luxury sedan of a boot—at a 115 flex index, the Inferno is far from soft—but those subtle tweaks are enough to transform the Inferno from a take-no-prisoners punisher into a boot that you can ride from first chair to last, on groomers, off cliffs, in powder, bumps, park and pipe without feeling like you broke both your shins in the process.

Bottom Line: Lange’s gift to the freestyle (and lightweight expert) scene.

I have a pretty skinny foot and super skinny ankles. I was riding some nordica beasts but had to send them back after riding them a couple times because they loosened up and my heel was swimming all over. How do you think I'd do in these boots? Im 6'1" and 170lbs

Good news Andrew,
you are definitely on the right track here. Lange is going to be a much better boot for your foot. You would be set with these or even, if you're into the idea, something with a more narrow last...like one of their racing boots. But yes, this is the brand you want to shop for sure. You might also looking to Rossignol, since they are the same company these days, their boots are built similarly, esp the race stock. Hope that gives you the answers you were looking for.

*** As always, get fitted appropriately first and then get a heat mold after you've skied them a few times, that process will get you the most optimal fit, and address any problems that might arise, like heel lift and gapping around the ankels****

Happy shopping!

I am 6'3 195 and am looking for a stiffer boot,(currently in a fluid 90) not a park rider but like to jump off stuff, ski primarily off piste. Can't decide between the inferno or the stiffer banshee, any pointers on picking a stiffness? Would going from 90 to 115 flex be that noticable?
