The burly Lange Women's Exclusive 100 Ski Boot gives you strength to take your skiing to the next level, and the versatility to ski the park, the backcountry, and everything in between. The burly (100) flex gives you the strength to charge through any snow condition and haul at mach speeds when you make your way back to the lift on the groomers. This Lange ski boot's women's-specific fit accommodates women's balance and weight distribution for a solid, tailored ride. A lower cuff profile complements women's lower calf muscles and the down-lined liner keeps your foot warm and comfortable no matter the weather. The Exclusive 100 Ski Boot's shock-absorbing heel lifters put you in an aggressive position for varied terrain and a women's-specific feel underfoot.

Bottom Line: Buckle into the Lange Exclusive 100 Ski Boot and ski every part of the mountain like you own it.

What are the differences (if any) between the 07-08 and 08-09 models? I've tried on the 08-09 model in the store and it is a perfect fit, however am considering the earlier model for budgetary purposes. Do they fit similarly? Should I expect the same performance from both models?

Yeah, most changes were only cosmetic and not really performance orientated.

When I first used the boots they were a little stiff and had to be broken in. Once they were broken in they were great no pain or discomfort and they are very warm. For once my fee weren't freezing like they usually are. I recommend this boot you'll love it.

great so far

By:
November 9, 2008

Seeing as there isn't any snow yet I have not yet used the boots for skiing, but I have worn them around the house, and they fit great. They don't have the same painful pressure points that my old ones had when I first bought them. The only spot where I have a pressure point is on the top of my foot where my bone sticks up, but that is pretty normal for me, hopefully when they break in it will be better. The boots seem like they will be warm for ski boots, but I am a bit doubtful that any ski boot will ever keep my toes from turning white. I like the boots so far, and I will give an update when I actually get to ski in them.

Is the Lange 100 appropriate for an advanced intermediate, very petite & light (older) woman? Any other suggestions?

It really depends on if they fit your foot.If they fit, they should be ok for an advanced intermediate. If they are too stiff, you can have your bootfitter soften them, but they can't make a soft boot stiffer.

I'm a beginning to intermediate downhill skier that is very happy at that level and going to stay there (in my 50s). I ski in Colorado (powder) and in Wisconsin (ice) Do you have a recommendation for a boot?

It really depends on the shape of your foot and your body type. I'd go for a less stiff boot than this one, 100 flex is pretty burly for most women. Shoot for 90 or less, you'll be a lot more comfortable. Langes are great if you have super narrow feet, Rossignol runs a bit narrow as well. I highly recommend investing in some foot beds, such as superfeet, most factory footbeds don't do a whole lot. Once you've worn the boots for 10-20 days you can also take them to a shop where they'll blow out any hot spots. Usually runs about $50 but worth every penny.

You really should get your foot sized at a boot shop and try a few sizes on. I wear a size 8 1/2 shoe, but my ski boots are 24s (the equivalent of a 7). My guess is that you'll actually be closer to a 26.5.
