The Speedster has a larger outer diameter than any other Lamson reel, and it is home to a inboard mounted handle, which aids in the reel's retrieval rates. The narrower spool (just under an inch across in the Speedster 2) helps to reduce line barreling, so your line remains efficiently spooled for smooth reeling and a snag-free release. Spools can be quickly switched out thanks to Lamson's tool-less interchangeable spool design, and the machined construction reduces weight, giving the Speedster a lightweight feel and sleek look.
