I bought these shoes here a few month back and used them approx. 5-6 times since then. In general I am satisfied from the shoe, but not from the BOA system. The laces didn't go smooth after a while and taking the shoes off after a long ride was almost mission impossible. Returned them to HuckNRoll after the BOA system completely failed on one shoe. Received full refund. The support was extraordinary and only for this great experience I do not regret to have bough them :)
Recommendation: Buy here, but not necessarily these shoes.
Boa sucks in sand
I bought these shoes and used them once in sandy/dusty conditions. The boa system failed after one ride. The grit got in and around the boa laces and dial causing everything to seize. I returned them for a full refund. Highly recommend not buying the boa system for mountain biking. On the plus side, these shoes have a wide toe-box and were pretty comfortable.
Been using them for a few weeks.... Maybe. Can't really remember when I received them. Started off great! Great carbon fiber sole. Does not flex!! Boa system is great too. Not much of a resistant shoe though. I wrecked on a 4 ft high log ride and almost ripped the damn toe off. And the attachment point of the tongue and boa system ripped off. I guess these are finicky as the race bikes they're meant to be paired with. I guess if you plan to ride hard, I wouldn't recommend them. But for a XC racer, it'll def do the trick. Comfortable, but wish it was more resilient. Also, I had a Diadora shoe that was a 45.5. I originally ordered a 45 and they were huge!!! So be careful when sizing them!!!!
