Trails are for everyone.
Lake's MX160 Shoes are for those who want a solid do-everything shoe at a reasonable price. It's the shoe designed for day-long comfort and support, complete with a proven three-strap system that allows you to dial in the perfect fit for your individual riding style.
Lake builds the MX160 shoes around its Competition last. It's shaped like the company's CFC race last in that it puts your foot into an optimum position for an efficient energy transfer to the spindle, but it also gives you a bit more room in the forefoot. This is ideal for longer rides when your swollen foot would otherwise pinch up or against the upper.
And speaking of uppers, Lake constructed the CX200's with its Action Leather. This material combines split leather with a polyurethane surface treatment. With this blend, you receive the comfort and breathability that you expect from leather shoes, along with the added benefit of a long-lasting, treated surface. The polyurethane surface coating increases water-resistance and durability, while also reducing shoe stretch. Mesh panels surround the opening and tongue, further enhancing moisture transfer and breathability. This means that your feet stay cool and ventilated, even on hot days.
The MX160's Hi-Impact fiberglass-injected nylon midsole is bonded to its SPD-compatible Real Rubber outsole, giving you sure footing on both the trail and pavement.
The Lake MX160 Shoes are available in the color Black/silver and in whole sizes from 39 to 50. Please note that Lake also provides a wide, high-volume option in every shoe size.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I have very wide feet and need a nice roomy toe box. I have tried several pairs of cycling shoes and decided to get any shoe (men's or womens's) that I could get to fit. These are the most comfortable I have ever owned. I was in them all day for three days in a row on a cycling tour with no blistering or discomfort.
