Call them. Lafuma has a phone # for ordering parts directly- 800-573-4457. The elastic bungees are readily available, come in a variety of colors, and should be easy enough to replace yourself. Their website appears to be under construction and down right now, but their email is: customerservice@lafumausa.com

Lafuma chairs ROCK

I bought 2 la fuma camp style chairs 15 years ago.I have had to replace the elastic straps a few times over the years but overall they have far exceeded my expectations.I leave them sitting outside on my dock 6 months or better every year.

Is this really only 2 pounds????

I love MY chair.

Chair is super comfortable. The mesh material allows you to stay cool in the summer heat. Great for reading or sunbathing on the patio in the late afternoons... not to mention napping! Pillow is adjustable and removable, which makes cleaning easy (although this thing doesn't really get dirty easily!). I've had it for over a year and have no problems with it. I keep it inside in the winter and under an awning, out of the elements in the summer. This isn't made to sit out all summer/year. Take care of it and it will take care of you! Also, I recommend the soft foam armrests over the wood ones. They are much more comfortable.

Comfy, but durability?

Great comfortable chair. I bought these for chillin' in the back yard on days off of playing. My only complaint is the wood on the arms started looking rough from the get go. Sand the arms as soon as you get yours and put some stain on them. Also, rust has been showing up in all the joints and bolt holes. Obviously these chairs are not meant to stay outside.

It's true about the armrests. Lafuma in an environmental company and uses materials that do not negatively impact the environment. The batyline fabric on the sling is another example of using fabric that is manufactured free of toxins, while still maintaining durability without fading. The armrests are not "finished" with any sort of chemical sealant, which means there is a factory protectant that will keep moisture out but for people that would like to leave the chairs outdoors full time they may consider chairs that have either plastic arms (or applying a stain as you suggested.)
