Description

Beach yourself.

Lafuma made the Beach’Elips Fun Chair all you need for kicking back on the sand or around the campfire—it’s simple, portable, and weighs far less than the cooler you’re trying to lug in the other hand. Even better, it folds down to five different reclining angles (including horizontal for late-afternoon naps).

Bought 2 of these chairs for camping, concerts, etc... Liked the idea of a full recline and a tall back for a low chair. And they seemed to fold up nicely for packing.
They didn't seem sturdy enough. When my husband (200lbs) sat on the chair it seemed to bow a little and the arms curved inward. Also, the chair doesn't have a straight up position. First position is reclined, which wouldn't be too helpful when eating or watching a concert.
The full recline position doesn't work well either because there is no head support. The top of the chair isn't long enough, and your head hangs over, so what's the point of a full recline?
Overall, we weren't happy with the chairs for our use and returned them.

The Beach Elips' primary use is for the beach, although many people do use the chair for camping and just hanging out. It does not sit fully upright but for most people that isn't the object- it does not sound like that was ideal for your situation though. The Cham Elips would be a good alternative.
