Pull on the La Sportiva Viper Climbing Shoe and sink your teeth into a wicked gym session or a go at your overhanging project. This slip-on is built on a modified Katana last with a slightly downturned toe for grabbing power. The thin sole adds total sensitivity, and the Hidden Heel Shock Absorber takes the sting out of gym and bouldering falls. *The Viper may stretch up to one whole size after repeated wear, so size accordingly.

Bottom Line: Bite down hard.

My go-to climbing shoe for sport climbing and bouldering

I wear a size 5 shoes in womens and bought these in a 4. These were super tight and painful at first, but after wearing them consistently for over a year, they feel perfect. The downturned toe really made a difference compared to wearing a shoe like the Mythos. I really feel like these shoes improved my climbing confidence. Tried wearing them for crack climbing in Indian Creek, since I had nothing else. They did the job, but I can see how other shoes like the TC Pros or Mocassyms (I know I know both very different shoes) would work better for IC crack. I'm glad I snagged a pair on steepandcheap since they don't make them anymore.

good for narrow feet, these shoes don't stretch too much because they're lined. wearing US men's 9 in street shoe, i have the vipers in a 40.0. the stiffness is excellent for edging but i've found them slightly less sensitive and downturned than i would like. the cushion on the heel is actually a really nice feature that really helps for bad landings when bouldering.
