The Slingshot won the TralRunner Editor's Choice for Spring 2005 in the Featherweight category. Designed as a trail racer, or for use as a fast and light backpacking shoe, the Slingshot is built to move. At just 1lb 4oz a pair, it's super lightweight, but also provides enough cushioning through the friXion XT ousole and double density EVA midsole to keep your step energized. Single mesh construction keeps the air flowing, the weight down, and the fit snug. The Slingshot provides stability through an injection molded heel stabilizer. fun, light, great shoes.... but about a half size too small... i noticed some had reported this, but i have worn the same size for so long i went ahead and ordered it...alas, i have to try again... but i will because they are so light and feel so good on my foot (only my big toe was complaining). order them... but try a size larger!

These shoes are very comfortable and light. Love the sticky rubber sole. They run small so order half size up.

I was not sure about these shoes when I first saw them online, but I needed a basic and lightweight pair of runners. I have had them for about a week and I am in love with them. They provide a lot of stability and a secure fit in the heel. The upper feels like a slipper and the sticky rubber sole provides a lot of traction.
I would not use them for running on rocky trails. There is no protection against stubbing your toes and there is minimal cushion under the ball of your foot.
Also, the purple and yellow is very hard to match with anything. Go for the other color... unless you just happen to have a lot of yellow and purple in your wardrobe.

I usually run indoors on a treadmill, and they worked great indoors, as well as out! They are superlight, and have medium padding, just enough. At first I had ordered the Vasque Velocity GTX trail running shoes which would be excellent for the outdoors, but I found that these were my perfect pair!

I love these shoes! They are super lightweight, breathable and fit like slippers, yet they have the support and durability of thick soled trail runners.

I love the look and weight of these shoes, but they don't have enough cushioning for my every day runs. I save them for speed work and when I want to intimidate the competition (they look so fast).
