The La Sportiva Men's Mulaz GTX Boots my look like traditional leather hikers, but their waterproof breathable Gore-Tex inserts out perform your old waffle stompers with ease. No more soaked feet when you have to travel down a muddy section of trail after a rainstorm. Of course, the Mulaz GTX Boots still include durable, versatile Nubuck leather uppers to ensure years and years of comfort. La Sportiva also used aggressive Vibram Hiking outsoles to provide traction on nearly any terrain you encounter.

Bottom Line: Even if it's raining, you can still be sure that your feet will stay dry in the La Sportiva Mulaz GTX Boots.

Nice boots, not for me.

Nice boots; leather and design, but they dont quite fit my feet. After about 100 miles, still getting blisters. Oh well. Gonna stick with synthetic boots.

La Sportiva Mulaz GTX

Right out of the box, took them on a 6 mile day hike over steep, rocky and snowy terrain in Sandias. The were absolutely wonderful. Extremely comfortable. Bought them for summer backpacking in SW Colorado. I think they will be ideal. I'm very happy with this purchase. These La Sportiva Mulaz backpacking boots are unsurpassed in quality and very sturdy. So far I rate them 5 Stars!

I need to know if the Mulaz GTX meets the US Forest Service standards

I need to know if the Mulaz GTX meets the US Forest Service standards for firefighters. Basically the boot needs to measure 8" from the bottom of the sole to the top of the boot collar. thanks

La Sportiva Mulaz GTX

Purchased these thinking they would be a durable hiker. I've only had them for 3 months and they are falling apart. The rubber rand is separating from the uppers. Stitching in the uppers has begun to rip apart signaling immanent demise. The tongue in one shoe is way off center and requires attention simply to get them laced.
Just another pair of sneakers masquerading as boots.
