A couple pebbles in your shoes—no matter how tiny—take the fun out of any trail run. Use the La Sportiva Mountain Running Gaiters to assure the only things in your shoes are socks and feet. These stretchy gaiters clip onto your La Sportiva Neva shoes in four places and seal around your ankle with an elastic draw cord to assure that rocks, snow, mud, and dirt stay on the trail where they belong. The Mountain Running Gaiters are ideal for trips that take you through rain or snow, or over loose ground and scree fields.

Not versatile ... only works with a certain type of shoes. I didn't think to check to see if they needed a certain type of shoe because all the ones I've ever heard of will work with any shoe!
