Formidable flex, tenacious traction.
Eagerly conforming to every terrain contour underfoot, the La Sportiva Helios 2.0 Women's Trail Running Shoe offers highly flexible traction within a minimalist, trail-savvy design. The key to its all-terrain prowess lies within its VA wave sole, which aggressively grips variable trail surfaces without slowing you down with excess bulk. FriXion AT rubber ensures sticky grip on rock outcroppings, gravel-lined paths, and chunky, off-camber trails alike.
HyDrain mesh and wicking AirMesh along the upper maximize breathability, keeping your feet blissfully cool during stifling summer runs, also dispersing water when you encounter shallow stream crossings on the trail. The Fast Lacing System enables a near-perfect fit, all without fumbling with pesky laces or having to re-tighten throughout your run. Because you'll be running across formidable terrain, La Sportiva equipped the Helios 2.0 with their MorphoDynamic midsole, which strikes a nice balance between responsive cushioning and smooth impact-absorption.

- Q & A
Amazing shoe, CRAZY SMALL.
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: 40.5 (US W 9)
These are featherlight, flexible at the forefoot, super breathable, and have really impressive, substantial tread. The uppers are sock-like and comfy, and provide just the right amount of support while still feeling natural. Lacing system is wicked convenient.
However, these shoes run SMALL! I wear an 8.5 women's street shoe, and a 9 women's running shoe. I initially purchased size 40.5, the size chart equivalent of 9, and they were so small that my toes nearly curled in the end. I'm sizing up to a 41.5 in hopes of a better fit.
UPDATE: Size 41.5 was STILL too small; my big toe was smushed in the front. Sizing up again to a 42.0 (US W 10), which is 1.5 sizes up from my street shoe.
