Here's what others have to say...

I was wondering if anyone knows if these...

I was wondering if anyone knows if these shoes are good on snow and ice?

Responded on

I would aim a little higher on the ankle area when it comes to snow. But I love the brand they put a lot of thought in to there products. But I did search the internet and couldnt really find anything on ice sorry.

Wondering about European size equivalents...

Wondering about European size equivalents listed. I need a 10.5 in Salomons, 11 in other athletic shoes. Would the 42 be long enough? Any other suggestions for a long, narrow foot?

Responded on

La Sportiva fit narrow feet well. Go with the size chart suggestion.

Wish they came in quarter sizes

Ordered these in a 38 and a 38.5. I normally wear a women's 7. The 38 was too snug, and the 38.5 is just barely too big. If they made a 38.25, I'd be in heaven.

Other than the slightly too loose toe box, these shoes are great. I've walked 2-3 miles on pavement in them, and felt like walking on air. On the trail, they grip like crazy and are good on ankle support. Looking forward to putting many more miles in on the trails in these puppies. They are a bit warm, so be sure to wear light socks or breathable wool socks, if like me, you have to wear thicker socks to get the right fit.

Update: A full hiking season and a slot canyon later, I'm still totally in love with these shoes. They are water proof as long as they are not completely submerged, and feel like you are walking on air no matter how far you go. Only downside is that if the back of your ankles are not yet callused, you'll end up with holes in your feet. I tape my heels with climbing tape under my socks, and could go forever in these. I highly recommend them.

Great hiking shoes

I have come back for a second pair I like these so much-not that they have worn out yet, but I have a hard time finding the perfect hiking shoe and hate when my favorite goes out of production.

I have relatively narrow feet with narrow heels and have a difficult time finding hiking shoes that don't slip on my heel-these don't slip and are as comfortable on a 8 mile hike as they are on a rainy day on the job at a plant nursery. Some days I work all day in the rain and have yet to get wet (or really cold) feet.

I highly recommend these shoes!

Are these shoes a wide fit in the toe...

Are these shoes a wide fit in the toe box

Responded on

I would say they are average. Most LaSportiva's have a narrow toe box but this one is a little more generous. Still, not even close to some brands such as Keens.

Comfortable and Durable

My wife and I both have these shoes.

The shoes are perfect for trail walking, path or everyday use. The Gore-Tex insert has kept my feet dry and comfortable. The shoes breathe really well and help keep my feet cool on those hot days. Vibram soles grip most surfaces well.

I have pounded trails for over a year in these shoes and they have held up very well.
