La Sportiva Crossroads Trail Running Shoe - Women's - 2006 BCS

For the past 3 years my wife has taken up running marathons, short adventure races, etc, and never owned a pair of true trail shoes. Well, for her 41st B-Day, I bought her these pair, which received great reviews from Outside Magazine, etc. Guess what? She loves the shoes! Excellent traction and support vs using reg. road shoe on trails!

These shoes really are the best of road running and trail running. I usually run on gravel or sidewalks with them, but today I ran up the Incine on pikes peak and came down Barr trail.... they were wonderful! True to sizing.

I got these shoes in an 7.5 (I'm a skate shoe 8, running shoe 7.5) and am super pleased with their fit and performance. They aren't as burly as my montrails, so I can wear them on the road approach too! They also offer more support than my normal road shoes, so I've been stoked on using them for everything! All in all, these are great shoes!

These shoes fit like a glove. I usually wear a 10 - 10.5, and I got a 10. I do have to wear thinner socks, but they definitely provide enough support for on and off road.

I have had trouble picking out a shoe in the past, but this one has great support & eases some of the pain I typically experience with a less solid, lighter weight shoe. My only complaint is that the tongue is a tad longer that I would like and it rubs against the front of my ankle at times.

I love to run roads and trail here in Utah. This shoe is the best I've ever used so far. It's soft enough for road runs, but will give you support and protection on the trails. I wear an 8 or 8.5 and got an 8.5. They fit perfectly.
