When you are climbing up the mountain, practically doing shoulder-high leg kicks with crampons on, you want a movement-friendly pant. The La Sportiva Women's Aura Pant is nearly as mobile as your yoga pants, with it's 14% spandex shell and comfort fit. But it can take on the challenges of the hill as far as warmth and water repellency go as well. The Aura is ideal for cold, dry days.

La Sportiva says that the Aura shrouds you in a subtle luminous field of space-age fabrics. Sounds heady, right? Well, the innovative and durable EXOSkin softshell can kick off a little water as it's rated 10K waterproof. The SuperFabric scuff guard is actually made from ceramic, so it is abrasion resistant against rocks or crampons. There are tons of features, too. You can control your temperature with the side opening zipper and keep your gear and snacks organized in the two front cargo pockets and two zippered front hip pockets. A detachable inner gaiter with adjustable snaps let's you keep the snow out when you start traversing the deep stuff.
