Comfy but not durable

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

Pros: very soft and warm fleece on the inside. Sharp looks on the outside. Paired with a softshell, it functions well as an insulating layer in ~30F weather.

Cons: came apart around stitching after less than three weeks of wear. I was really hoping for something more durable given the price and good impressions with other Kuhl gear.

great lightweight casual fleece

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Short version: A very comfortable and pretty warm lighter weight casual fleece, with a hood. Fits true to size.

Long version: I have been a fan of Kuhl products since owning my first Revel fleece. I actually have a couple now, with and without hoods. I have found these jackets to be surprisingly warm for their thin and stretchable nature. The material is also super soft. Not windproof, but does a moderate job cutting the breeze. Pretty standard hood made of the same material as the body with the same thickness.

How I use it: I will often grab this casual and nice looking fleece jacket for a good a standalone layer on cool (50ish) days or as a good layering piece on slightly colder days.

What I wouldn't use t for: Not a fleece for when you need something windproof or when layering when its freezing (pretty literal) outside.

Fit: True to size overall for Kuhl. Kuhl runs slightly more an athletic fit than other brands in general.

Revel Hoodie, morning coffee, Sunrise

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Found the top shedding a little after first purchasing it but after a couple washes it's all good. 6' 190 and a large fits perfect. True to size and doesn't feel baggy. Perfect for fall weather, light weight in the pack for layering.

Sweet Midweight Fleece

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This ain't half bad. You get a pretty snazzy hoodie for around town, while also having a functional midlayer for outdoor activities.
It's definitely a midweight fleece, so you don't really get any wind protection.
Really soft and perfect for lounging around, but it will collect all the stray hairs around the house.
Great breathable layer for skiing.

Love it!

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I absolutely love this sweater. It is soft, and very comfy. I wear it as often as I can. It feels well made and I expect it to last a long time. I am surprised how warm it is in most conditions (wind goes through it pretty easily though). I have long limbs and all Kuhl clothing fits me well. I am a loyal Kuhl customer because their clothes are so comfy. I own many of their jackets and pants. I am 6ft2.5in 175lbs and large fits me nicely.
