Rarely do you find a pant that doubles as your go-to hiking lower body cover and casual attire; the KUHL Men's Outlaw Pant is as rare as an honest lone rider. True to the brand's smooth name, this pant's cotton and spandex blend doesn't restrict breathability or movement, which makes the Outlaw an import piece for any man who plans to take to the trails in sturdy boots or to the asphalt on a steel horse.

So far, so solid.

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I picked this pant up at the Ace Hardware in Truckee, CA during a storm and so far, I've been pretty impressed. The pant fits true to size for the most part but the crotch feels a little low for where the waist sits. Other than that I haven't had any issues with pilling or tears. I've only had the pant for about a month so I'll be sure to update after I've really put some wear into these pants.

I especially like the weight of the fabric, tough material that's stood up to outdoor work and abrasion (chopping wood, working under the car, roof repairs etc.) They are a bit prone to picking up and retaining soot, ash, dirt or any other small particles but nothing a good run through the washer can't handle.

My only wish is that they came in a 32x34 but I guess that's not a standard size.

kuhl: poor product, poor service

i bought a pair of these and after one afternoon of fly fishing they were pilled like crazy in the seat and had blown out a 1" hole clear through the pant at the L rear pocket. whats more outrageous is that they were covered by waders the entire time i was not sitting in the car. waders are fine, pants are rags. kuhl did not even respond to my request for an exchange.
