Great addition to my Klean Kanteen!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have had this for a while and use it almost daily. I use it with the insulated tumbler for coffee and tea. I have not used the straw feature but it remains tightly sealed otherwise. It washes easy in the sink and even the dishwasher. If you fill you cup to high and the liquid moves around a lot it will seep through and spill FYI. The Open/Close function is a rubberized material and super easy to use.

    Great for Coffee Drinkers

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was skeptical that the lid would stay securely on the cup using just friction from the rubber around the lid but it actually works really well. The design is interesting, there’s a hole for a straw as well as a coffee mug style hole to sip out of. The top spins to cover up this opening. Unfortunately this does nothing to stop liquid from coming out. I didn’t expect to be able to turn it upside down but it doesn’t do much to stop even minor splashes contained. I do think the lid is a great addition if you want to use the pint glass as a coffee cup while driving but expect it to perform on par with a Starbucks cup.

    Not much of a lid

Fit is the same for both the insulated and non insulated types: snug. But the design does not seal all the way around. So, if you've got a 3/4 full glass and you move quickly the liquid will splash out. If you tip it it will definitely spill. It's not much of a lid.

      Fit isn't perfect

This lid is useful, but it isn't going to keep your drink from splashing out a little. It's a good topper for your steel pint while it sits in the cupholder in your car - it should keep all the liquids in on all but the bounciest of rides.

It also adds only minimal insulation to your drink - your hot drink is still going to get cold quickly on a cold day.
