Better for use Indoors. : /
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This is an insulated bottle, and not a thermos. I was hoping to take it cragging with me on colder days, but it just doesn't keep coffee hot for very long when the temperature dips below 60 degrees. My Nissan Thermos will remain my crag coffee bottle, and I guess I'll just use this thing for taking coffee to the climbing gym or other indoor locations. One thing it has going for it is the security of the lid. I can't imagine anything leaking.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This is truly a great thermos, but I do have one caveat. You really should buy the cafe cap if you are going to drink coffee or other potentially hot/sticky beverages out of it. The liquid can dribble down the side if the you don't have the cafe cap, which is quite annoying. However, buying the cheap cap to go along with it is worth it.
Great bottle. Do buy the Cafe Cap!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This bottle is versatile and durable. Keeps cold and hot for long periods, and the ability to switch on the "cafe cap" for morning coffee is a huge plus.
Perfect for camping, but I also use it most days as my regular cup/mug. I have bought this bottle/cap for others and they are still thanking me a year later.
When it starts to smell like coffee (like all stainless cups do...) clean it with Barkeepers Friend. Fresh as a daisy!
One for all!
I bought this for my sister and her husband and they absolutely love it! They don't leave for work without it. My sister doesn't like her coffee cold or lukewarm so with a kanteen that keeps her coffee hot from the wee morning till late afternoon is perfect for her. Her husband will forget his wallet, his phone, his lunch, the kids (just kidding!), but he doesn't ever leave without his coffee-filled kanteen. And this whole time I realized I don't have one so I just bought another one for myself.
Like the other review says, they are durable, great alternative to disposable cups, carry no taste and are dishwasher safe. And it does not leak, which I know can be an issue with other kanteens.
I have 2 of these wonderful insulated bottles, they keep my hot drinks hot and my cold drinks cold, FOR HOURS!. I've never come across a better thermos. My Klean Kanteen products travel EVERYWHERE with me. I've been a loyal customer to the company since they first came out in Chico, now I'm glad to see that they're becoming so ubiquitous as an alternative to disposable cups. They're amazingly durable, carry no taste and are dishwasher safe. Perfection.
p.s. Put a Goat (or 3) on it!
It's Insulated! Yeah!
- Gender: Male

I've been using this for the past six months and I love it. It's vacuum insulated, so the cold stuff stays cold forever. Like they mentioned before though, the insulation takes up some of the room, so you end up with not a lot of space for your beverage. 16oz is plenty for me though. You heavy drinkers might want to consider sizing up...
Keeps beer cold for longer than it will take you to drink it.
...so consider this a positive review.
Best insulated bottle I have tried
Coffee was the original reason I bought this and it does the job of keeping it hot for an unreal amount of time. With the accessory top is stays hot and does not drip which has always been an issue for me with mugs / thermoses in the past. What has recently impressed me though is how long it keeps ice. I have a black car with black interior and I can keep ice water all day! By far the best insulated bottle I have ever owned.
great bottle for keeping coffee warm in your pack, but it is kind of small for any type of hydration purpose. a bigger insulated bote would work better i feel.
