Just right

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The spring assist has been fast for the last two years and the knife is still in great shape. It easy to sharpen and just the right size to take everywhere.

I dig it!

The knife is great and Backcountry.com service was very fast. The Speedsafe opening is awesome and the carry clip is tight and right. The blade is also easy to sharpen and holds a good edge.

Great utility knife

The flat edge makes this one very easy to use. It isn't sexy enough to be an EDC, but this knife is great to leave somewhere convenient in your house, or in a camping pack. The liner lock is plenty secure. The speed safe is smooth (although unnecessary). This is a great beater knife. Cheap enough to use/abuse/replace, quality enough to use all the time. Last note: the clip is for a tip-down carry, not my preferred method.

This knife is spring assisted so it will flick out rather fast. When closed the knife will have a small point that pokes through the backside of the knifes frame, you flick this with your finger and the knife will flick out very fast.
