Maybe anatomy isn't easy to understand, but the Kelty Upslope 2.0 Trekking Poles are. Tough aluminum shafts, combined with extended EVA grips and padded wrist straps, give you plenty of support while you're descending and balance while you're crossing tricky slopes. The bomber Twist Lock length adjustment gives hikers, backpackers, and trekkers of all sizes some extra help on rough trails. With carbide and rubber tips, the Upslopes are at home on dirt, rock, and everything in between, with low-profile trekking baskets that won't sink into mud or get hung up on trees and rocks.

I am not someone who uses poles incredibly often or on every hike but I knew I would be doing several longer trips this year with a bit more weight than usual so I decided to save my knees some pain and get some poles.

Because I was getting them for less frequent use I did not want to spend a ton of money, and I am glad I didn't! These poles are awesome and better than some poles in the next price range up if you ask me.

Turns out I have been taking them on almost every trip this summer because they are light and simple to keep strapped to the side of my pack when I dont want to use them.

Either buy these or spend way more money on top end poles!
