Enough room to house your family and even a hitchhiker or two.

Load up the kids, everyone’s gear, and the Kelty Trail Ridge 6-Person 3-Season Tent, and hit the road for a six-week road trip with the fam. This spacious tent features two equal-sized vestibules to house soggy gear as well as nearly vertical walls for extra interior room. All this extra room helps you save on hotel bills, which in turn helps you stay on budget so you can spend weeks indoctrinating your kids in the joys of the great outdoors (whether they like it or not).

  • Waterproof fly and floor fabric features fully taped seams for added protection from rainstorms and soggy weather
  • ArcEdge floor means the floor material extends a few inches up the tent walls to reduce seam-to-ground contact
  • Color-coded clips simplify the pitching process so you can trust the kids with the task
  • Two 15-square-foot vestibules give your family plenty of dry space outside the tent for shoes, packs, and pet salamanders
  • Mesh walls and fly vents all for cross-breezes and radiate six bodies' worth of heat outward so you don't get muggy during summer trips
  • Internal storage pockets hold your headlamp or cell phone just in case you need them throughout the night
  • Double-door design and silent zipper pulls let you head out to water a bush without waking anyone else in the tent
  • Footprint sold separately

Unanswered Question

Does everyone use a footprint?
and when packing to store, should it be seams out or seams in? Does it matter?

January camping in Moab, UT with the Kelty Trail Ridge.

Good for star gazing away from bugs

Super easy set up. Four sturdy polls. Good zippers. Awesome mesh walls and ceiling. Spacious. Light weight, perfect for car camping. Sleeping without the rain fly and waking up at 3AM to see all the stars was nothing short of amazing.

    Fast set up

Great for car camping. Fast set up and fits a queen air mattress, 80lb dog with own sleeping pad and all camp clothes. I'm 5'7" and can stand up comfortably and change. The two doors are nice, great bargain tent.

How exactly do the short supports support the vestibule. I see they snap in the plastic piece and then what ?

Hey there, the vestibule doesn't have any pole supports; its only support is from the guying/staking of it...

      Room 2 Roam

Spacious and easy to set up/break down. With a couple of dogs and a couple of people..this 6 person is so sweet! Room to dress, to move around, I can feed them from right inside the tent, when they wake me at 6 am :),great interior height means ease of entry and exit..durable like a typical Kelty product. For car camping and wanting a roomy simple tent, perfect choice.

Thanks for the review! Careful keeping dog food in your tent. ;-)
