The Kelty Trail Dome 6-Person Tent is an ideal 3-season ventilated tent for the campground or the backcountry. A simple pole design and clip/sleeve construction makes the Trail Dome a snap to pitch. It is freestanding, which makes it easy to set up and fine-tune the placement to avoid rocks and uneven surfaces. The Trail Dome's mesh ceiling offers incredible breathability and a view of the stars when you aren't using the included rainfly. Watertight walls and taped floor seams keep the moisture from wreaking havoc on you in the middle of the night. Cram a headlamp, a book, and other items in the internal storage pockets. Great for family camping, there is plenty of interior storage space. If you need even more storage, rig up your gear hammock to the Trail Dome's gear loft loops.
Bottom Line: Take the whole family out for a night under the stars with the Kelty Trail Dome 6-Person 3-Season Tent.
This is the aluminum pole version not the fiberglass. So far I'm very please with this tent. The aluminum poles seem very strong and wind resistant. Lots of floor space and easy to setup with 2 people. The materials are some of the nicest I've seen especially the floor.
Roomy, easy to set up and great in the wind and rain. You can dress standing up...if you're 6'0" or over you'll have to slouch a bit, but a good height all the same. Comes with the aluminum poles so you don't have to deal with the ends of the fiberglass one's breaking off. One con about the tent are the clips that hold the tent to the poles. Especially the ones that the rain fly poles mount into. They can tear out of the tent completely. Other than that, tent's great. Backcountry is great about swapping something that breaks. Walls and the tub floor hold out the water and do well - I've tried it in torrential rain and 50-60mph winds, and believe me, it'll take some water and keep you dry even when it's coming at you sideways. I also especially like the gear loft loops...I hook a light or two to them and play cards or just plain use the gear hammock that comes with it. Snag one of these tents and go play.

The tent comes with 6 stakes. You'll need 4 stakes (one in each corner). The fly is an awning style and will not need additional stakes. Hope this helps...
I really like this tent. I've used it 2 times this year and am planning 1 more. It's roomy, goes up/down in a flash, packs down pretty small, it's strong, and has done a good job in the rain. It loses 1 star because I wish the windows were larger on the doors. During the summer I camped when it was humid/rainy and had to keep the fly on and the mesh at the top and the small windows didn't allow as much airflow as I'd have liked. Other than that, this has been an excellent tent and I recommend it.
i don't own this tent personally, but yes, it will come with stakes. bare minimum, it should include the exact amount needed to stake down the tent body and rainfly. i've never purchased a kelty tent, but they may include 1-2 more for extras or for guying out the fly as well.
Good materials, easy to assemble and stow, roomy, looks cool, and packs down pretty good for its size. I bought it because it was well made, easy to assemble, and big enough for our family of four. It's what I wanted at a good price. I can't complain after a couple of test drives.
We bought this tent recently to room ourselves and our 18 month-old son. The tent was great. Set it up at home a few times to make sure everything worked well - easy to set up and nothing missing or wrong. While it was airing out at home it decided to rain for an entire day. Not a drop of water inside (even without a tarp underneath). The size is great - plenty of room for our twin-sized inflatable mattress and a pack-in-play for our son PLUS room for him to play in. Love the ability to stand up in the tent too. On our trip the tent worked equally well, even with some rain - no leaks (although I have not seam-sealed it yet) and no problems.
