You're not mounting an expedition here, you're just going for a stroll through the park. The Kelty Tour Kid Carrier will hold junior comfortably on your back. An auto deploy kickstand with no-pinch hinge holds the carrier upright when you set it down on a level surface, so it's easy to get the kid in and out. Full suspension with a padded waistbelt and sternum strap keeps the carrier solidly on your back so there's no shifting, apart perhaps from the little person's fidgeting. On the fidgeting topic, a pair of toy loops give you a place to lash toys where junior can easily reach them and stay amused without danger of dropping them. Big adjustment ranges mean mom or dad will be equally happy in the Tour. If you're after a no-frills workhorse kid carrier, the Tour is for you.

My husband and I both love to carry our five month old in this carrier. We have loved our freedom to explore the world, and the baby loves it too! She is so happy in this carrier and will gladly observe the world or rest her head and take a snooze.

Would recommend!

How did we survive hiking before?

The Kelty Tour Kid Carrier is a necessity for hiking with young kids. We have 4 boys under the age of 7 and want them to be familiar with the
outdoors. We decided to give this carrier a try. The pack was completely
adjustable for both parents (6 ft dad and 5 foot mom), comfortable for both
of us, and not back-heavy at all. The biggest test of all: our 18 month
old son loved it! If necessary we could even carry our 3 ½ year old.

Kelty Tour

I recently purchased the Kelty Tour for my eleven-month-old. We frequently walk our dogs at a local quarry and needed a larger backpack. This one has been great. It works well for relatively short hikes—I have worn it for two hours and this was fine. I wouldn't recommend it for an all day event, but for short hikes, it works great! It is easy to operate with the child in and out of it. A very worthwhile purchase!

Tour Kid Carrier

Love the carrier. Very comfortable and our daughter loves it. Recently spent a week vacationing on the gulf of Mexico and we walked the beach every morning for an hour+. Not as comfortable for my ladies, but not bad. Still able to do a moderate hike comfortably.
