The Kelty Sun/Rain Hood attaches to 2005 and later Kelty Kid Carriers to provide a measure of protection from sunburn and unexpected showers. A see-through plastic front keeps you visible, which helps keep kids comfortable, and of course lets them see ahead. Open sides let little ones see everything and keep the fresh air flowing. Hook and loop attachment makes the Sun/Rain hood easy to get on and off.
Bottom Line: Danger: May make your kids want convertibles when they get older.

I recently purchased the Sun-Rain hood for the Kelty kid carrier. This has been great for those super sunny days or unexpected rain drops. I have been very pleased with this product. It is easy to attach to the carrier and also easy to remove. I am very pleased.

We cannot live without our hood for our Kelty kid carrier. We use it all the time. It protects from wind, rain, and sun! It’s fabulous!

It has been 30-38 degrees (86-100 Fahrenheit) lately. The sun is scorching, our daughter has been kickin' it in her Kelty Carrier thanks to her brand new sun hood. I can't speak to its function in rainy weather, we haven't seen rain in a long time.

I love this rain/sun hood. My son is very tall so I was concerned that he would not be comfortable with this attached to the backpack, but he loves it. He does lean out the side to play peek-a-boo sometimes though! It adds virtually no weight to the backpack ether. We will definitely use this for all of our zoo trips! It would be nice if it rolled up a little smaller to fit into the diaper bag attached to the backpack.

I would call this accessory a must. I cannot imagine using the Kelty Kid
