Performance oriented parents demand a performance oriented kid carrier. The Kelty Pathfinder kid carrier is for parents who know the value of high-tech suspension for heavy loads and want to share the outdoor experience with their kids. The Pathfinder keeps junior comfortable with toy loops, an adjustable seat with washable pad, and a sun/rain hood to protect from the elements. Parents will appreciate the Pathfinder's fully padded and molded suspension, in particular the 3-layer Scherer cinch waistbelt, for its comfort and efficient weight distribution. Durable, comfortable and safe thanks to Kelty's auto deploy kickstand with patented no-pinch hinge, the Pathfinder is fully featured kid carrier that doesn't skimp on the details.

Not a great carrier if you are very short.

I purchased this carrier to take my daughter on walks with my dogs. I am very short ( 5' 0"). The pathfinder does have many adjustments and I successfully adjusted it for my height. The shoulder straps adjust down, so when adjusted for my height, the back board extended over my head - so I couldn't bend my neck back. It was extremely uncomfortable to have that restriction on my head and neck. I also felt a little off balance, since my daughters body was way over my head! I returned the pathfinder and purchased a Kelty TC 2.5. The TC 2.5 is so much more comfortable for my height! It has the same adjustments and support as the Pathfinder, but on a smaller scale, so it fits a short person better. I am extremely happy with the TC 2.5.

Kids love it

Highly recommended, I carry my 1.5 year old all the time for weekend hikes, and if the hike goes on too long I can always throw the 3 year old in for a quick break. Comfortable on the shoulders and sturdy for those tough hikes. I do however highly recommend the sun shade and the rear view mirror accessory to protect the precious cargo onboard.
