If you don't have a Kelty Orb 3 Tent, take the Orb 3 Footprint out of the mesh storage sack and drape it over your shoulders as a waterproof cape. Then you could run around the campsite protecting innocent bystanders with its burly PU-coated nylon taffeta material. If you do have an Orb 3 Tent, you're in luck—this footprint extends the life of your tent by protecting it from sharp objects and water.
Bottom Line: This footprint protects your Kelty Orb 3 Tent or makes a killer cape.

Well, the single reviewer was not happy with his purchase, but that doesn't mean you won't be. If you don't get a footprint though, you can do what he did. Just go buy a tarp and set the tent up on it. Fold the excess at the edges of the tarp under itself so as not too pool rainwater on your tent floor. That's all he did.

I purchased the tent and gave it a perfect five star and love it ... the footprint is a joke ... first off all it's not a footprint is rectangle that is smaller than the footprint with some clips that pretend to clip onto tent ... it's a joke they call it a Kelty Orb 3 footprint ... maybe a 3 person tent footprint I would give it 2 stars for trying to control my expectation ... I'm buying a real rain tarp for less money and fold the edges in to make sure during a rain storm water does not come up and the ground does not poke a hole in the bottom of my great Kelty Orb 3 Tent! I have to say the quality of the tent and everything on the tent is so awesome I was surprised how big a joke this footprint was ... so, bottom line Kelty was almost perfect!
