Here's what others have to say...

Does it come with a compression sack?

Aaron, not a compression sack but, a stuff sack. The compression sack will allow you to pack the sleeping bag smaller, normally bags dont come with that addition. Check out the Sea To Summit options, those are my favorite compression sacks.

Great Bag

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

This is a great value bag. The key features I look for in a car camping bag are reasonable space to move around and the ability to zip open by my feet to cool off. This offers both of those, plus the zipper pocket on the front if you're into that, at a super reasonable price.

It's definitely big and heavy for backpacking purposes, I would not recommend carrying it too far. But I would highly recommend it for car camping, couch surfing, basement dwelling, etc.

I just used it camping in Colorado where it got down to the high 20s at night and I was comfortable wearing just some mid-weight base layers and socks. I'd say anything below 25* F and you'll want to bundle up or take a different bag.

Can't complain!

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

First off the price is fantastic. Second, it's warm. The heating in my house is awful and in this -4 weather lately I have just taken to sleeping in my bag on top of my covers. I understand the bulkiness but seeing as I am a hammock camper I don't really mind. I think a compression sack will do the trick! I also REALLY like the pillow pocket feature and the sleeping pad loops. I can't wait to take it out on the trail!

What size of compression sack did you need for this bag?

Warm, but not compact

I purchased two of these bags for an overnight on the PCT. I bought them because the price was great, but regretted it when they arrived. They were very warm, and reasonably lightweight, but they were just incredibly bulky compared to most other backpacking bags. The stuff sacks they come with are not compression bags and the bags themselves have no straps or ties, so they fill more than half a medium sized backpack on their own. I'm sure they'd be good for winter weather.

I had the same issue with this bag. It filled up nearly 45l bag. I bought a med size sea to summit compression bag and it solved that problem. I was able to cut the size to about 1/3 the original size.

Any tips on which compression bag to use, size and brand?

    great deal

purchased this bag as a replacement to an old LL Bean bag. It was a little too warm for the first week in September, but I just opened the zipper up, perfectly comfortable. Super fast delivery! My sleeping pad fit great into the pocket designed to hold it in place, no slipping at all, and I toss and turn a lot.

    great deal

    Great bag

best part is the full zip so on the hot night you can use it as a blanket and get a cool night sleep./
