Got the blanket yesterday. Backcountry knows how to ship fast to so. cal. The blanket is well made. The inner is a soft suede like material. I like the draft tube blocks cold. Although it makes starting the zipper on the bag a little challenging because of how puffy the tube is.
Yes, indeed the bags zip together. I bought two. Wish I didn't already have two old ones, I would buy two more.
It's heavy and thick, but not a problem for car/family camping like what I do. I will appreciate this blanket when it's sub 40-degree in the mountains.

I bought two for the specific purpose of zipping them together and they fit like a dream. Individually they are wide and super comfy, zipped together they are ridiculously spacious. The draft tube keeps cold air from moving down the bag when we sleep in opposite corners of the zipped together bags. These are great bags for bumming around the house (we take them to work since we work in 24 hour shifts and crash out at the base), or car camping but are far to heavy to take on even a short hike.

There is no reason that you shouldn't be able to zip two LIKE rectangular sleeping bags together, but I did a little digging for you. If you go to to Kelty's site you will find that they don't list the Lunar20. However, the similar 30 degree bag found here; http://www.kelty.com/p-341-eclipse-30.aspx lists "Two bags can be zipped together to form a double-wide."
Or REI (http://www.rei.com/product/763725) lists "•Convenient full-length, two-way locking zipper with draft tube; bag can be opened up for use as a blanket or zipped together with another bag."

Forgot to mention. It is heavy and thick. It will keep me warm on those sub 40-deg nights in the mountains.
