Great little lantern
I got this lantern to illuminate my tent at night and it did so perfectly. Took it on a 5 day trip to Moab and it was plenty bright for my 3 person tent. The metal loop at the top has an extra bend to act as a hook that let me hang it from my tent gear loft. On the brightest setting it was enough light to read from comfortably. On the dim setting it was enough light to look around the tent for shoes or whatever else you need to grab in the dark. Perfect for my needs.

Great little light
At first, I was a little concerned about the light after reading some reviews about CREE type LEDs. However, this light is more than bright enough (so long as you aren't expecting to light up an entire campsite or something with it) and much brighter than I expected after reading the reviews. Very sleek design with a very durable feel. Definitely glad I made the purchase.
Still lanterns are lagging behind the rest of the illumination world. This one is no exception. While Cree makes excellent LEDs this one is old old technology. If I had the money/time I'd make a good one and sell it on BC. 30 lumens is unacceptable, but if you want a run of the mill lantern then add to cart.
