Slide into the Kelty Light Year XP 40 Degree Synthetic Sleeping Bag after a long day hiking the AT or exploring the desert. This synthetic bag's zippered foot vent and two-way, hip-length zipper dump heat on warm nights. The synthetic fill in the Light Year XP maintains its heat even when this mummy bag gets damp from morning dew. Kelty gave this 40 degree bag a form-fitting hood that provides warmth without drowning your head.

Bottom Line: If your summer camping gets a bit damp sometimes, grab Kelty's Light Year XP 40 Degree Synthetic Sleeping Bag.

Great bag, nice features

This has kept me warm through three seasons in New Hampshire (I tried it once in a cabin in the winter and was cold all night). It's light and compresses well. My favourite feature is the foot zipper. It's great to be able to vent heat in the summer and you can walk around a bit with this on if it's cold and you don't want to get out of the bag.

Nice Foot Zip

By:

The thing I like most about this bag (apart from the lightness and the compression sack) is the zipper at the bottom of the bag to give your feet some air. After a long day on the trail, it's awfully nice to get some cool air on the feet while the rest of you is nice and warm in the bag.
