Light Year Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down - Women's

The 650-fill down in the Kelty Women's Light Year 20 Degree Down Sleeping Bag provides warmth on spring and fall trips, while a zippered foot vent cools things off on summer nights in the mountains. If a mummy bag is too big, you end up with cold pockets, which is why Kelty's women's-specific design has a narrow cut around the shoulders. When the morning sun heats up your tent, open the Light Year's hip-length, two-way locking zipper to cool things off.

Bottom Line: Choose Kelty's Light Year 20 Degree Down Sleeping Bag instead of swimming around in a lumberjack-sized bag.

Kelty Light Year Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down - Women's

I'm 5'5", 135 lbs, average shoulders, and I sleep on my side. The Woman's Kelty Light Year Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down was perfect for me in September out at the dunes.
Surprisingly I thought I would be too hot, but it seemed to stay just warmer than my body temp so I was stoked!

Kelty Light Year Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down - Women's

By: Backcountry.com Employee
October 4, 2009

My wife took the Women's Kelty Light Year Sleeping Bag on a trip to Moab this weekend and is relaying some pros and cons. On the plus side, the bag was light and highly packable and the construction was top notch. The narrower cut was great for her and the hood was particularly well made. The negatives were that this bag is not a 20 degree bag. Wearing long underwear tops and bottoms and a long sleeved t shirt, the bag was uncomfortably cold one night when the temp hit 36 degrees. This bag is almost perfect down to about 45 degrees, below that it is not the right choice.

It doesn't zip in. I think you would be better off adding a sleeping bag liner to your light year 45. Check out: http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/Kelty-Lightweight-Fleece-Sleeping-Bag-Liner/KEL0422M.html It will add about 10 degrees F of warmth to your current bag.

A great lightweight and warm sleeping bag. Packs down very small so it's convenient to bring on any type of trip without taking up much space.
