The Kelty Lightyear 3D sleeping bag is an easy-care synthetic bag that's perfect for wetter climates. The Lightyear 3D uses two-layer, offset quilt construction to help trap heat more efficiently and ensure uniform coverage of insulation. Polarguard 3D is not too heavy, packs well, and retains most of its heat even when soaked through. A draft tube runs the entire length of the Lightyear's zipper. In a particularly clever move, Kelty put the Lightyear's side seams at ground level, which means the seams aren't sitting against your body. Loops to tie on a sleeping pad and a zippered foot vent let you get maximum comfort and therefore maximum sleep out of your Lightyear.
Bottom Line: Camping comfort and manageable weight with negligible upkeep.

My only complaint is that the 2 way zipper came broken. I had to pull off one of the two ends, it still zips up one way so I'm not going to complain, and I didn't have time to return it as I was leaving for my trip that weekend.
The temperature didn't dip that much, but it kept me warm during the cool nights. Also, bonus points for how small it packs. About half the size of my sisters sleeping bag... I was very impressed.
It got the job done. If I could go back, I would buy it again. Just earlier so I could return it for the zipper....ah well.

This is a very light bag and it stuffs in to a compact form.

I took this bag with me on an overnight trip in Hawai'i. I got the long because I'm 6' 1" and it's very comfy. Slept on the beach with no problems, fit in a normal school sized backpack with a bunch of other stuff too. Great value for warm weather camping. Includes a stuff sack and a larger sack when it's just in storage.

Light, compresses easily, and plenty warm. If this isn't enough bag for you when Spring/Summer/Fall conditions get a little damp, you shouldn't be backpacking.
