Improved! The Light Top got a facelift with lighter and tighter 240T nylon taffeta material, and a zipper sewn into the seam for greater durability. This warm weather bag has insulation only on bottom, with a single sheet on top. A grapefruit weights more than this two pound bag! Use: Summer camping and backpacking.

Kelty Light Top Sleeping Bag

I just spent 18 nights in the Grand Canyon with this sleeping bag. It was great! I could start the hot night out sleeping with the warm part on the bottom and just the light thin layer on top. Then as the night chilled I would simply roll over with the whole bag until the warm side was on top. It is so light I could hang it in the sun on a light line between things that could hardly be called trees to "wash" it in the sun!

This is a great sleeping bag. I have used it in 80 degree weather all the way down to 40 degree weather in haleakala, in a bag that is rated at 55 degrees! It may seem heavy but when compared to other "lightweight" 40-55 degree bags, the value is unbeatable. Plus with compression straps I can get it down to the size of a football (a very dense one at that!)
