You aren't imagining it. The Kelty Illusion Women's Backpack is a weekend pack as comfortable as that broken-in, ratty old daypack you've had for years. It's probably lighter than your daypack, too, thanks to ultralight materials and LightBeam aluminum stays that offer all the strength and support needed to hold your load, but don't add much to it. Anatomically curved suspension with Spacermesh padding makes the Illusion feel and move like a part of your body. The suspension can be adjusted for a custom fit with features like Loadlifter and belt stabilizer straps. This is described as a "weekend pack", but there's more then enough room for a longer backpacking adventure. I went to Peru for 2 1/2 weeks, and there was plenty of room to spare. It's very light, and comfortable once you bend the frame to match your body shape. The compression straps work really well at keeping the load balanced. The only complaint I have is that the material the pack is made of is not that strong. It got a tear on it at the airport on the way there.

went hiking in northern Florida worked great very roomy, lots of pockets and ambidextrous, for the price most shoes cost less than this thing cost me. good shipping too!
