I agree a must have addition to a great tent.I use this tent on a lot of solo's.The footprint to me is a must have and is the perfect and light fit.

Great piece of equipment if you can spend the dough. A piece of Tyvek will suffice but if money is not problem a must have. I used this on the A.T. as a footprint and as a bottom sheet in a shelter. Will preserve the life of your tent and VERY easy to set up. Make sure, if you make your own, to cut just inside the dim. of your tent too big and the moisture is drawn under the tent. Rated a 4 because of the price. A piece of Plastic will cost about $5
