When you want to go camping with friends but don't want to sleep in a small 2 man tent crammed next to someone else, then this your answer. Sometimes, you just want to be able to relax comfortably on top of an inflatable full air mattress complete with memory foam padding and a roomy double sleeping bag so you can toss and turn while you're camping. Or if your date complains that regular sleeping bags are annoying and not comfortable enough to move around in. If either of those are the case, then bust out this bad boy and all your problems are gone.

Last time I used this bag, we went camping in the Grand Tetons and my friends complained about being too cold to sleep in their camper trailer. Sucks for them since I was almost too warm to sleep with this fully zipped up that same night! Very warm and comfortable. However, I wholeheartedly disagree with the recommended use of backpacking. This thing is too heavy and WAY too cumbersome to carry around for more than a couple minutes. Definitely just for car camping.

You have trouble convincing your girl to go camping with you because it is too cold and she doesn't like being crammed into a stuffy mummy bag? This double bag is the answer to your prayers. This bag provides plenty of room for the two of you to snuggle up on those cold nights in the wilderness. The bag also has an appropriate amount of loft to keep you comfortable and warm but not stifled under 5 inches of down, like so many other down sleeping bags are constructed.

Can this bag be attached to a sleeping pad?

Best Answer

Yes- "Stowable pillow pocket and loops to secure a sleeping pad let you rest with the soft creature comforts of home."

You'll use those loops that you see toward the top of the bag and the others at the bottom of the bag along some straps or shock cords to wrap around the pad. It's not really a system that works out very well if you sleep on your side or toss and turn, wanting to take your bag with you, because it pretty much pins the bag to the pad in one position. But I hope this helps.
