The rectangular Kelty Eclipse 35-Degree Double-Wide Sleeping Bag has room for two to snuggle. Kelty stuffed the Eclipse 35 with its CloudLoft synthetic insulation for coziness and gave it a poly-cotton lining for bedsheet-like comfort. A ripstop polyester exterior makes the Eclipse durable. Stuff your fleece or a camp pillow in the head pocket and get some rest. Sleeping alone tonight? This double-wide bag converts into two individual sleeping bags. Crashing on a friends couch? The Eclipse 35 zips out into a blanket to drape over yourself.
Bottom Line: Cuddle up with your loved one inside the Kelty Eclipse Sleeping Bag.
Are the pillow pockets under both people's heads? I bought two of the single bags, but when I zip them together, one of the pillow pockets is above my wife's face. I can't see how they could make it work any other way, though.
This bag is perfect for two people. My wife and I love it! It's large size is roomy enough to have your own side of the bed. I am 6'5" and the bag is perfect for me. The attached pillow holders are great too! It is too big for backpacking though. Great for car camping.

This thing's big enough for the whole family! Kept us warm on those early season camping trips. Definitely too big for backpacking but perfect for car camping.
We got this so we don't have to make the bed in our RV. It's perfect. My wife made a "sock" insert by sewing two sheets together. When we get home from a trip we just wash the insert. It is by far the best sleeping bag we have ever owned.

There aren't a lot of double bags out there, but this price seems pretty unbeatable for what you get. The bag is huge and plenty warm for summer camping at high altitudes. As others have said, it's much too big for hiking/backpacking but is rather luxurious (especially coupled with our air mattress and big tent) for car camping. The dog fits on it too! The only thing some people might find a little weird is the inner liner. Instead of soft flannel or the slick stuff you're used to, it's a soft cotton, kind of like a bed sheet. Personally, I liked the feel of it, but it may not appeal to everyone.
Will this bag fit in a two person backpacking tent like the northface roadrunner 23? Also has anyone had any luck putting this beast into a stuff sack?
This is a good 15 inches too wide for the Roadrunner 23. Also, it stuffs to 17 x 38 inches, which is gigantic. It won't even fit in even a huge expedition-size pack, let alone leave room for stuff like food and shelter. Honestly, if you're not sleeping NEXT TO the car, a gigantic 14 pound bag like this is useless.
Perfect for the restless camping sleeper! no waking up to having the sleeping bag unzipped and half my body freezing! my wife and i fit with more than enough room. it was warmer than id expected it to be. The size rolled up is very large so cant take it hiking but I'm still stoked we bought it!
This is pretty strictly a car camping bag, 14 pounds isn't out of the question, since it is a rectangular shape, so they can't shave weight like they would in a mummy shape, and it uses synthetic insulation, which is heavier than down, and it's two bags in one. One hell of a comfortable bag thoughThis one comes in at just over 9 pounds, and Big Agnes doesn't use any insulation on the bottom!http://www.backcountry.com/store/BAG0118/Big-Agnes-Dream-Island-Sleeping-Bag-15-Degree-Synthetic.htmlHere's a double bag done right. It is however down:http://www.backcountry.com/store/BAG0119/Big-Agnes-King-Solomon-Sleeping-Bag-15-Degree-Down.html
The cotton blend would bother me. Polyester will still insulate when wet. I wouldn't want to be in a cold & wet situation in this bag or hypothermia could set in.
