Double the fun.
Sure, the Kelty Dualist 35 Degree ThermaDri Sleeping Bag is a hybrid, but not in some, "doesn't really do anything well," sense. Indeed, its combination of 550-fill DriDown and ThermaPro synthetic insulation actually make it lighter and more packable than a pure synthetic bag and more water-resistant and durable than a traditional down bag. The water-resistant down is layered inside the polyester taffeta shell, while the ThermaPro sits next to your body, providing plenty of warmth and cushioning. This combo gives the Dualist a three-season-worthy EN rating of 34 degrees, so you can comfortably take it on most spring, summer, and fall excursions without worrying about waking up shivering. A zippered draft tube, draft collar, and neck drawcord make sure your hard-earned heat doesn't escape, while the two-way no-snag zipper will save you the hassle of having to perform emergency zipper surgery in the middle of a chilly night.

What is ThermaDri Insulation?
Here's a great run-down of the ThermaDri insulation technology used in Kelty's Dualist sleeping bags.
Great bag at a great price!
- Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I have had this bag for about a week and have used it just once so far but my initial impressions are very positive. Easily fits in the sleeping bag compartment of my 50L backpack and incredibly light. The temperatures where I camped out got down to about 40 F during the night and I was sweating with this bag, a midweight, and a hoodie. I think I could have just used a tee shirt and been just fine.
First Impression
This was bought for my son, please keep that in mind. It packs fairly small compared to my synthetic bag at 40*. Loops on end for hanging you can wash in front load machine when you get it muddy like we did. Held up in condensation below 30* weather in a floorless shelter for 3 nights. He stayed warm despite outside of bag being wet. Zipper hung yup initially time will tell on the zipper.
