Kelty knows what you expect in a temporary shelter when you’re on the move; so it made the Crestone 1 Tent—a minimalist shelter for one. Strategically-placed nylon sections leave only mesh to make up the rest of the walls, ideal for cutting weight and providing substantial ventilation and reduced condensation. Kelty designed it with only two poles keep it erect and color-coded clips mean you can attach the fly faster than unexpected raindrops can soak your gear.

I have been using this tent for about four years now and really have nothing bad to say about it. I have never had any issue with moisture despite a little condensation in the morning which I expect and has proved itself to be a very durable tent in windy, wet and muddy situations. It is most definitely not the lightest one man out there but it really dose its job well and I am satisfied with its performance. would recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive tent that will last and keep them a happy camper.

This tent is built well and thrives in a car-camping situation where you don't want to share a three person tent with two newly-weds. Or maybe your friend has a "great, huge tent that is super strong" that he bought at Target and you don't want to wake up to a face full of wet nylon when the tent pancakes in the wind.
Drawbacks: for a solo tent, 4lbs is a little hefty. It seems to me that you could shave quite a few ounces by changing out the supplied rail-road nails that serve as stakes. And the tent isn't free-stnading, so you'd better be camping some place that you can get the stakes driven in quite well.
Nevertheless, the vestibule will hold a pack and the interior is rather roomy for a one person rig.
