The Clear Creek 20-Degree Synthetic Sleeping Bag is one of Kelty's classic three-season sleeping bags. The Clear Creek works great for variable weather conditions and when fully un-zipped it can be used as a blanket. The Clear Creek's two-layer offset quilt construction retains loft even when wet. The Clear Creek has extra insulation over the chest to keep your core warm and includes a full-length zipper and an extra-thick draft tube to retain warmth.

Bottom Line: Sleep through all sorts of weather with the Kelty Clear Creek 20-Degree Sleeping Bag.

Very Warm

By:
June 3, 2008

Used this bag for a 5 day hike through Smokies and it performed well. I am a 6'5" 220 lb guy and it was plenty comfortable. It was, however, VERY warm...even when it got wet from trekking 2 days in the rain. I give it 2 thumbs up for quality and price.

Can two clear creek sleeping bags be zipped together? If not, does a left handed model exist??

No, two clear creeks cannot be zipped together. For that feature, you must look for a higher level bag. I'm relatively certain that a left handed model for this also doesn't exist.

Very Warm, but a bit small

By:
April 4, 2008

I mention that it is small because I literally have one arm fully out of the bag, and still cannot close the zipper. Luckily, I bought this bag for my wife, and she loves it. We spent two nights camping Haleakala (Maui) at 6,500-7,000 ft, with nightly lows in the 30's. She is always cold at home but was warm and toasty in this bag.

How would this bag be carrying two of them? Does it compress well?

If I understand your question correctly, you could compress both bags together in the XXL or XXXL size compression stuff sack but it would consume most of your backpack if that's your intention.

Great sleeper

Although I have not the opportunity to field test this sleeping bag I have spent a little time trying it out for fit, zipper ease, packing size and general comfort. I think this bag will perform well for my needs, and the price point was very reasonable.
