Hi Dennis,
I've seen alot of people use chairs like this one and Crazy Creek chairs. You can unfasten the clips so that it lies flat, but don't count on it for a sleeping pad. If you're looking for a dual-purpose chair, check out the Grand Trunk Nano 7 hammock. I used to use camp chairs and now I use this. Not only does it double as a bed that you can pass out in in front of a campfire, but it makes for an all-purpose chair. It weighs 6.7 oz. and it comes with super-light-weight Mad Rock carabiners. The only catch is that you have to provide the trees. :)

1/2 the price of a crazy creek and just as good
I got this for a seat on my raft, and it's really just as good as the crazy creek I've had for years, but why pay twice as much for such a simple more...
