After you set up your tent and get the fire going, sit back and relax in the Kelty Camp Chair. This comfy foam seat has an adjustable, angled seat position for your comfort around the camp fire. A mesh pocket stows your headlamp, book of choice, and sunscreen. Did we mention that the Kelty Camp Chair weights only a pound and is super-easy to transport.

Bottom Line: It’s a no-brainer.

1/2 the price of a crazy creek and just as good

I got this for a seat on my raft, and it's really just as good as the crazy creek I've had for years, but why pay twice as much for such a simple chair? The crazy creek does have a few more adjustability options, but for tying it off to the raft, all I needed was an extra cam strap.

It is comfortable on cold ground and can be used for backpacking (I'd strap it to my pack). Although I suppose it could be rolled up I do not believe it should be due to the stiffer material within.

depends on what kind of 300 is this man. A 6'8 300 lb man would fit, but a 5'10 300 lb man, would not

Hi Dennis,

I've seen alot of people use chairs like this one and Crazy Creek chairs. You can unfasten the clips so that it lies flat, but don't count on it for a sleeping pad. If you're looking for a dual-purpose chair, check out the Grand Trunk Nano 7 hammock. I used to use camp chairs and now I use this. Not only does it double as a bed that you can pass out in in front of a campfire, but it makes for an all-purpose chair. It weighs 6.7 oz. and it comes with super-light-weight Mad Rock carabiners. The only catch is that you have to provide the trees. :)

Would this work on top of a canoe seat?

Yeah, this will be a great bit of extra padding when you are in the canoe and give you a nice beach chair to rest your weary bones in when you get to camp. I'm not positive if you can have it in the open "chair" position when you are canoing..since it kind of sits you back slightly to keep it open, but throwing it down flat for some extra butt or knee padding is always nice.
