You could probably fit about eight banana bunches (seven or so to a bunch) in the Kelty Women’s Acute 32 Pack, but that would probably be a bit of potassium-overkill for your all-day hike. Plus unless you left the flip-top lid open, the bananas would probably get all hot and gross. Then the comfortable, women’s-specific suspension, breathable back-panel, padded shoulder straps, and handy front vertical pocket would all go to waste while you quarantined the Acute Pack to 100 air-out days in the carport (lingering hot-banana smell is not pleasant).

Bottom Line: Pack wisely.

I got this pack for a pretty great price and I am happy about it so far. I got this particular pack because of the space, the back vents and hydration system compatibility. I had to buy the bladder separately and it only holds up to 2 litters.... so far it seems fine for long day hikes but I will bring a bottle or two as well. The straps are very comfortable and I think I will be able to fit plenty of stuff it the main compartment. I was hoping to take it for a light over night backpacking trip but I will have to find a way to strap my sleeping bag to the outside. Great day pack though!
