disappointed

I purchased these shoes based on past Keen purchases. I really should have returned them within the 30 day comfort trial. I've had them about 2 months now and can't wear them anymore. They seem to have no arch support for me and my feet were suffering. Maybe Keen would still do something but I haven't contacted them directly. I do really like my Keen sandals but not these shoes.

Best fitting summer boot

This is my 4th pair of these. These have the shorter toe box like the first run of this model and I'm very happy about that. As long as the glue doesn't separate, these hold up really well. Sole separation on the bottom has done in previous pairs.

Garbage now

Used to be good. The austins used to be good too. Now sizing is erratic, they squeak, and fall apart when you glance at them. You cashed out Keen. Now you're producing crap on the cheap.

Second pair - soles fall apart

I've had two pairs of these. I like the fit and the comfort. However, the quality control is lacking. My first pair had one of the lace hooks misshapen, so it would grab the lace of the other foot's lace as you walked. It would really trip you up. Both pairs had the same problem with the soles. The black part of the sole of glued on, not molded it. After a short amount of time, the glue gives way and the black insert starts to separate. Keen really need to step up its game on this. I'll go with a different brand next time.

Shoes have scuff marks

When I took off the wrapping paper I noticed both shoes were covered across the top with scuff marks. Is this to be expected? Should I attempt to polish them? It makes them looked used and I got them as a gift.

Not made like they were before

These are the 6th Men's Voyageur Mid I've owned. I wear these boots more than any other footwear.  The are light and comfortable in summer weather. As the tread wears down, I relegate the older boots to working around the house and break-in a new pair for going out. These new boots are constructed differently, a change for the worse.  The insoles are now softer/spongier.  I felt lines under my feet when I walked.  When I removed the insole there were "strings" of glue that I removed that were left over from gluing the outer covering to the sole which previously was stitched.  The top of the sole is also a softer material, also. I inserted SuperFeet which made an improvement which allowed me to wear the boots all day like before. I have my older pair next to the new pair so its easy to make a side-by-side comparison. The changes in construction may be why these boots are now marked down 40% on the website. Buyer beware. These are not the Voyageurs Keen previously sold.

Diabetic foot pain GONE

Anyone who knows diabetic foot pain is miserable. Hurts at night feels like your feet are freezing keeps you up at night. These mids have ended a long search of the perfect shoe. The comfort level is incredible. Night foot pain is gone. I wear them as much as possible cause when I take them off for the night I am pain free.

Awesome fit and look but soles falling apart

Had one pair, the soles started to come apart within a week. Thought it might be a fluke, took advantage of Keen's awesome warranty, and it happened to the second pair after one hike.

My favorite hiking boot

I have taken these boots all over the world, they have been in the Sahara desert, hiking the hills of Malawi and North Carolina, hunting the woods of NC, they have kept my feet comfortable while I spent days on the range and in the shoot house, and I don't get blisters when I go do rucks in them, my feet stay comfortable through the hell I put them through. I love these boots because they are not water proof and breathe, I can walk them dry when they are wet, and they are wide, not narrow like so many other hikers. They all have about the perfect level of flex to the soles, not too stiff or soft they are just right. I've owned three pair of these things and not because they fall apart but because they survive the bitter use I put them through. Keen please keep making these boots!!!
