Super comfortable for non-technical use

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

These boots were like snuggly pillows from the moment I put them on. They held up well through a backpacking trip with several hikes and kept my feet dry & warm in glacial water. "?control on treacherous terrain" is the one claim I'd dispute. The trade-off for that immediate cushiony comfort is that they're not the most structured or supportive boot. They're not appropriate for extended use in difficult terrain that requires a lot of control or precision. But I am definitely pleased with them overall.

Great Light Hikers

Really nice, comfortable boots right out of the box. I've found them to be great for light hiking day trips, or casual wear, but wouldn't consider them for serious backpacking because there is not enough ankle support. Great fit for someone like me needing a wide toe box. Almost all Keens I've owned have worked well for me. My only complaint is that I wish these had speed hooks on at least the top eyelet of the boot because you have to really loosen the laces to get your foot into it. Otherwise perfect.

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Already one of the best Keen boots I've owned (and I've loved them all). These were super comfortable right out of the box... one of those boots that just makes you smile when you put them on. The traction is great too, I'm really digging the new tread pattern. They're excellent on everything from scree fields to slick & muddy trails. The rubber is super grippy and sticky, as is the norm with Keen hiking boots... this will most likely mean faster wear, but well worth it for the all-day comfort! I am usually either a size 11.5 or 12 and the size 12 fits perfectly.
