The Kids’ Truckee Hiking Shoe uses the same leather uppers and Secure-fit quick-lacing system as KEEN’s high-end adult models. Non-marking rubber soles give these shoes excellent traction on the trail and won’t mark up the white tile in your house’s entrance when the hike finishes. KEEN lined the Truckee Shoe with a combination of leather and woven textile for durability and breathability.
Bottom Line: Like your hiking shoes, only smaller.

Hey even if your a woman with a wide foot this shoe is great. Sturdy, comfortable,cute (sorry boys) it's great for trekking around in fields with your dog or on hikes through Moab. Am lovin' em. thanks

As long as you ordered out of the kids section and not the shoes listed as infants you should be good to go. He'll love these shoes. My sons have been bomb proof!

My little guy (age 9) has wide feet and is always on the go. Regular shoes last a matter of weeks under his care! Keen shoes are the only ones that I have come across that take everything he does in stride and still come back for more! From building houses in Mexico - they got covered in paint - to hiking in the Sierras, to daily playground action, they clean up great, are comfortable and eventually wear through the bottom before the front even looks tired!!
This was our 6th pair of Keen shoes - sandals and other styles included - and I will continue to buy more!
